This transformation affects how we pursue justice, engage with others across cultural boundaries, and build authentic community. Kingdom reconciliation encompasses sharing power with qualified individuals from all backgrounds, embracing diverse worship styles, and being open to different political perspectives without judgment. The strength for maintaining such unity comes primarily through God's Word, which provides endurance and encouragement, and through consistent prayer for unity among believers. Practical steps include avoiding assumptions about others' motives, giving people the benefit of the doubt, and being willing to experience discomfort for the sake of unity. This approach to unity extends beyond mere tolerance to active engagement in justice issues, support for fair criminal justice, and care for immigrants and the poor.

Rather than defaulting to self-pleasing behaviors, Christians are called to bear one another's burdens and build each other up. This involves listening without judgment, understanding different perspectives, and maintaining unity while respecting diversity. The focus should be on glorifying God through our relationships with others, not just seeking agreement on every issue.
